Michael Melit

LEAD VOCALS | LEAD GUITARIST

Fronting the show is experienced lead guitarist and vocalist, Michael Melit. Michael has worked professionally for over 30 years and has shared the stage with some of Australia’s most revered artists including Russell Morris, Joe Camilleri, and Jon Stevens, and toured extensively as lead vocalist and second guitarist with the late, great Phil Emmanuel.

Mick is well known around Queensland for his solo shows and work with many bands and he has Mark Knopfler’s characteristic sound and finger style well in hand.

Ian Lock

BASS GUITAR | MC

Ian has been playing bass since high school and as you can tell from the photo that’s a long time. He has played in orchestras, jazz bands, musical theatre and rock, pop, blues and soul bands. 

Most recently Ian has been playing blues, soul, rock and pop in local bands and tribute shows, with some time out for a position in the pit for a musical.

DASH McIVOR

GUITAR | SAX | KEYS | BACKING VOCALS

Multi instrumentalist Dash McIvor plays a crucial role in Telegraph Road, covering rhythm Guitar, second keys and sax parts.

Dash is an experienced studio engineer and Recording Wizard who has produced and recorded on many projects for a diverse group of clients. He is a seasoned performer and his folk band, Claymore is highly regarded and often features at festivals around Australia and overseas.

James Hampton

KEYS | BACKING VOCALS

James is a professional pianist with over two decades of experience performing at events, and functions across Victoria.

He has played in a wide range of pub, rock, and jazz bands, with appearances at respected Melbourne venues such as The Paris Cat and Bennett’s Lane, alongside solo performances at venues including the Sofitel, as well as restaurants and wineries throughout the Yarra Valley.

Grant weinstein

DRUMS | BACKING VOCALS

Grant Weinstein originally hails from New Zealand and is accomplished in playing many styles of music from rock, blues to swinging jazz. Grant has played in bands since he was 15 years old and professionally from the late teens.

He has had the fortune of playing for many famous artists including Bic Runga (NZ), Finn brothers, Drew Bowden (aka Dave Dobbin's band), Slinky Minx, Darren Watson (NZ), Cameo Cruiz, Blush. Grant is also a seasoned session musician and recording artist for local bands and musicians.
