Michael Melit
LEAD VOCALS | LEAD GUITARISTFronting the show is experienced lead guitarist and vocalist, Michael Melit. Michael has worked professionally for over 30 years and has shared the stage with some of Australia’s most revered artists including Russell Morris, Joe Camilleri, and Jon Stevens, and toured extensively as lead vocalist and second guitarist with the late, great Phil Emmanuel.
Mick is well known around Queensland for his solo shows and work with many bands and he has Mark Knopfler’s characteristic sound and finger style well in hand.
Ian Lock
BASS GUITAR | MC
Ian has been playing bass since high school and as you can tell from the photo, that’s a long time. He has played in orchestras, jazz bands, musical theatre and rock, pop, blues and soul bands.
Most recently, Ian has been playing blues, soul, rock and pop in local bands and tribute shows, with some time out for a position in the pit for a musical.

DASH McIVOR

Multi instrumentalist Dash McIvor plays a crucial role in Telegraph Road, covering rhythm Guitar and second keys parts.
Dash is an experienced studio engineer and Recording Wizard who has produced and recorded on many projects for a diverse group of clients. He is a seasoned performer and his folk band, Claymore is highly regarded and often features at festivals around Australia and overseas.
James Hampton
KEYS | BACKING VOCALS
James is a professional pianist with over two decades of experience performing at events, and functions across Victoria.
He has played in a wide range of pub, rock, and jazz bands, with appearances at respected Melbourne venues such as The Paris Cat and Bennett’s Lane, alongside solo performances at venues including the Sofitel, as well as restaurants and wineries throughout the Yarra Valley.
JOE MURATORE
DRUMS | BACKING VOCALS
Joe Muratore is a master on the drum kit, holding down the essential rhythms and iconic beats of the Dire Straits catalogue with precision and style.
Bringing his experience performing in successful tributes such as “The Reflex - the Duran Duran Tribute”, Joe offers this power and expertise to the Dire Straits experience. Joe is currently touring with both tributes. across Australia.

Joining Telegraph Road on keys and vocals, Peter Ferguson boasts over 30 years of multi-instrumental performance experience, including piano, keyboards, bass and guitar across solo, duo and band formats.
As well as Telegraph Road, he is currently performing in “The Eagles Greatest Hits", “Turn The Page, A Tribute to Bob Segar", “Glory Days, a Bruce Sprinsteen Tribute” and a powerful duo with James Brennan.
STEVEN BURNS

Steven has extensive experience as a live performer from such acts as “The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly Tribute", “SOS The Australian ABBA Tribute", “Tusk Fleetwood Mac Tribute", “The Australian Midnight Oil Tribute", “Back to the 70's & 80's Show" and “Circus Animals the Cold Chisel Tribute".
Steven has also performed at numerous corporate events, casinos, festivals and weddings in various duos and bands. With well over a thousand live performances under his belt, Steven is a consummate professional who loves entertaining audiences.
NATHAN PARKER
SAXOPHONE
Saxophonist Nathan Parker brings 50 years of musical experience to the stage, spanning rock, soul, jazz, blues and studio recording.
In 2026, Nathan completed a national Australian tour with The Big Chill Out Show, a Motown production starring The Voice Australia winner Judah Kelly. His performance credits also include “Joe Cocker Express” and “The Van Morrison Song Book”.
Alongside his live performance career, Nathan has recorded numerous albums, with recordings available across major streaming and digital music platforms.
